Have you ever been working on a project and begin to fill in an object only to draw a blank?
It happens to me all the time. I know that there are lots of different marks and shapes that I can add to the drawing, bit I can’t recall them in that moment.
To help us with this, I created a cheat sheet of common marks and textures that can be incorporated into drawings.
This is not a complete list, just ten common marks that you can quickly reference in one place. And there are five boxes at the bottom of the cheat sheet that were left blank for you to add additional marks.
The common marks and textures included in the video are:
- Linear hatching
- Cross hatching
- Layered linear hatching
- Varied linear hatching
- Countour hatching
- Cross contour
- Wavy lines
You can watch me draw them in the video below. Or, you can skip to the download link right beneath the video. It’s a free download – no strings attached.
